Maximus is a general in the Roman army.
He loves his wife and son, and he is respected his army.
He is kind, honest and strong man.
Commodus is a emperor’s son.
He is mean man and dislikes Maximus.

One day, emperor, Marcus asks Maximus to be a next emperor.
Commodus gets angry to hear this, and he killed emperor.
He shifts his guilty to Maximus, and tries to kill him.
Maximus escapes from him and returns his home.
However, his family was killed by Commodus’s army…

This is set in Roma, so this story is grand!
I was encouraged Maximus’s life.
He lived his life desperately after death of his family.
I thought he is really strong!

This book had many difficult vocabularies, so I couldn’t read easily.
However, I watched this movie after reading and I understand detailed story.
